Sushi at Atipic Beauty Cluj-Napoca

On Wednesday evening, I had the pleasure to participate with a Sushi tasting from Tokyo Japanese Restaurant at the Atypical Beauty event, 2nd edition, at Opera Plaza Cluj.
Through this event, the beauty beyond words was highlighted, a fashion presentation supported by people with disabilities, namely people who are in wheelchairs.
The project was initiated by the president of the Open Your Heart Association, Magda Iuliana Coman, with the support of Alin Galatescu and with the help of the one who offered the models' outfits, Rozalia Bot. They managed to transcend beyond words, with the help of emotion, a lesson in life and courage.

During the event realized in partnership with Performed Events, Roxana Nemes and Anya Marian gave recitals, and Cosmina Pasarin was beautiful and talented as presenter..
People with disabilities were accompanied on stage by people from the Cluj media.

More than 170,000 people attended Street FOOD Festival which took place this weekend, May 9-12, on Aleea Stadionului in Cluj-Napoca. The tasty food, cooked for the moment right in front of the people, the appetizing aromas, the colorful decorations, the music and all kinds of activities brought the people of Cluj to the festival in a record number. Street Food Festival Cluj Napoca was a very successful edition, perhaps the most successful in the history of the festival, thus becoming the largest Street FOOD Festival in terms of number of participants in Europe. When we say success, we measure it not only in the number of visitors present, which was impressive, but also in the positive reactions of those present, atmosphere, smiles, the way they shared their experiences on social networks or the satisfaction of those involved.

The festival was, in fact, a culinary and cultural intersection of different areas of the world, and participants were able to enjoy not only the dishes, but also to experience the activities or listen to music specific to each area.. Little Asia, American Dream, Cabrones, La vita e bella, How much is the fish, Green Village and All in for Food were the areas where the activities took place during the four days of the festival and, for the experience to be a complex one, the vendors were also organized according to them.

This year, 60 trucks have prepared some of the most appetizing goodies for the gourmands on Aleea Stadionului and for gourmets interested in discovering new combinations of tastes. The dishes were varied, from the well-known burger that could not be missed, to sushi, soups, pancakes or cheesecakes. Moreover, the participants were able to discover products and preparations made from organic products from local producers.

Artistic moments

The people of Cluj were able to enjoy the artistic moments in every corner of the festival during the four days. One of the sensations of this festival was One Man’s Band, the Italian who amazed the audience with his street show by involving people in his time and good mood. Other street performances that took place were supported by Canarro, Magic Puppet or Koszika & ampthe Hotshots.

There were also a record number of participants at the Street FOOD Strage concerts this year. The Mono Jacks, Lucia & Museum Quartet, Robin and the Backstabbers, Moonlight Breakfast were the ones that gathered thousands of participants in front of the stage, night after night. Heat Tar they also gave a concert on the last day of the festival, creating a perfect atmosphere for a Sunday.

Areas and activities

Each area of ​​the festival had different specific activities to the delight of those present. At American Dream, the participants were able to listen to electronic music every day and at the same time choose different activities, from pictures to photobooth to temporary tattoos or beer pong.

At Little Asia on the penultimate day of the festival, a tea brewing demonstration took place in partnership with the Confucius Institute in Cluj-Napoca. Other activities that attracted the attention of those present were lemonade preparation workshops and flair shows.

Good food goes perfectly with a good movie, that's why an outdoor cinema area was set up where the movies could be watched: The Story of Love, America Comes and Wedding Offside, and on Saturday night Simona Halep had a gallery in Cluj because the match at the Madrid Open was broadcast live on the screen of the cinema area within the festival.

The Cluj-Napoca edition of Street FOOD Festival ended on Sunday, at 23:00, and at 5 o'clock after that the traffic was resumed on Aleea Stadionului while Parcul Hotel Sport is overseeded, and in the areas where the lawn was affected due to heavy human traffic is put rolled turf.

Wash the rice in more water until the water is clean. Let it soak for 10 minutes.
Put the rice in a pot, add water and cook. The first 10 minutes on medium heat, when it starts to boil, simmer for about 2 minutes and return to medium heat. When the water has dropped and you can see the holes in the rice, set it on low heat. After 10 minutes we turn off the heat and leave for another 10 minutes. The whole process is done with the lid on.

In the microwave, heat the vinegar a little and mix it with the sugar and salt until they melt. Put the rice in a bowl, preferably a bamboo bowl and slowly add the vinegar. Mix with a wooden or plastic spoon, with light movements so as not to break the rice grains.
Stir until cool and taste from time to time. If you already feel the vinegar, you don't have to add it.
At the end, the rice will be shiny.
